“Through the residencies that City Lights provides, students are engaged to participate more actively in written and oral communication and their reading and comprehension skills are enhanced… We hope that we will be able to continue to expand on this wonderful work being done in the classroom… Ultimately, we would like to see this program throughout the entire school.”

In-School Program - Fees

The City Lights Youth Theatre In-School Drama Immersion Program does not use a menu of standard services and a set of inflexible fees.  The Program Models are constructed to introduce “the possibilities”, and from there each residency is designed site-specific – based on the needs of the school.

Therefore the cost is determined by the number of classes per week, the total number of students served, the length of the residency, and the artists and materials necessary to fulfill the design.

This allows each school to develop a partnership with City Lights with the aim of creating an arts-in-education residency based on school themes, curriculum goals or arts events – all within their budgets.
