14 Resort 2026 Trends to Wear This Season

Technically fashion’s in-between season, resort is when transitional dressing matters most. With the weather no longer freezing but not particularly warm, the collections offer a bridge from winter to spring—providing real-life solutions for wardrobes (and weather forecasts) in limbo. As pieces trickle in stores from now through February, there’s no better time to get acquainted with the silhouettes and trends that’ll soon mark how you want to get dressed.

Polished outerwear leads the narrative for resort 2026: There are leather jackets from Khaite, Celine, Sacai; chic capes from Kallmeyer, Nili Lotan, Hermès, and TWP, and trench coats that double as dresses. Refined animal motifs continue to dominate, as do sporty staples, from track jackets to anoraks. Pajama dressing—and sequins—go from day to night; a welcome reminder that holiday party finds can live on after the ball drops.

Many of the resort and pre-spring silhouettes will feel familiar, what makes them compelling is the styling, which picks up where we left off in fall, where personality-driven touches pushed clothes into new territory. All the resort 2026 trends you can shop—and feel inspired to wear—right now, below.

Leather Lab

The ultimate in-between outerwear option, leather jackets remain a steadfast wardrobe essential. Khaite reinforces the idea season after season, while Sacai’s modernized takes on leather outerwear make them feel fresh. At Celine, the biker jacket is adorned with a mega brooch, while at Tibi, oversized proportions give it an effortless spin. For an investment style that has the celeb and street style seal of approval, choose one of Nour Hammour’s funnel-neck styles.

Caped Crusaders

The one-and-done cape is a sharp, elegant outfit topper that instantly polishes whatever you pair it with. Kallmeyer offered a casual take with a matching headscarf perfect for those seasonal showers, while TWP showcased an extra-long take with wide-leg trousers and polo zip. Find one with a scarf attachment from Cos, and a cropped option from Burberry.

Wild Side

Leopard, cow, tiger, and zebra animal prints are everywhere. Khaite’s resort 2026 line-up was an ode to the latter, applied on everything from trousers to boots to handbags. Stella McCartney gave us a cropped cheetah bomber while Gabriela Hearst’s collection showcased cow print, including a head-to-toe option; Alaïa’s tiger-print cocoon coat doubles as a dress. Scarf Styling
