Here, the Best of the Spring/Summer 2025 Fashion Trends

Warmer days are finally upon us (and honestly, they couldn’t have come soon enough—if your winter was anything like mine me, it went extra spicy on the seasonal depression). Like, I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to shove away all of my puffer coats and exchange them for lighter spring outfits that I won’t have to hide under multiple layers of fabric.

With the new season comes fresh new styles. Some of the most talented designers served up major spring 2025 fashion trend inspo on their runways this past fall, and I’ve taken it upon myself to narrow it down into five key trends that are set to take over.

Ballet pink is on the rise, especially since spring is when pastels truly shine, and sheer fabrics continue to dominate the runways. As far as jacket trends, the trench is having a huge moment this year, especially in more unique forms like trench skirts or cropped coats. And best of all, I’ve pulled together wearable options for each spring 2025 fashion trend below so you can shop all of these styles as soon as your heart desires.

We totally called this in our 2025 fashion trend predictions from last year—ultra-sheer is in, and everyone from Jacquemus to Coperni and Chanel agrees. I’m specifically talking about sheer mesh and lace skirts, whether they’re attached to a mini dress or worn over a pair of hot pants (aka mini-mini shorts). You’ll get the full drama of a maxi, minus the total lack of air circulation.

A few designers showed classic tan trench coats in their collections—Dries Van Noten, Ganni, Burberry (obviously), and Gabriela Hearst, to name a few. It didn’t stop there, though. Dries gave us a reptilian trench, Stella McCartney went peach pink, Chloé took things in a billowy, voluminous direction, and Alexander McQueen chopped the trench in half to create a cropped jacket and mini skirt moment.

I want, no, need us to discuss the rise of ballet pink, another trend we predicted last year. Don’t be surprised if you start to notice baby pinks and blush tones everywhere this spring, because the sweet shade has totally replaced the punchy Barbie pinks and wine reds of yore. Salvatore Ferragamo even sent ballet-ready looks down the runway—I’m talking proper warm-up wraps, tights, and dance bags.

Altuzarra went big with eyelet lace collars and ginormous flounces that were almost Victorian, whereas Coperni played with rosette-like frills for their Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Whether you’re shopping for an oversized collar that droops over your shoulders or an embroidered ruffle neckline, this trend is all about breathing new life into your basic button-ups and blouses.

Designers really said it’s time to bring the drama with these unique cutouts and exposed skin moments. Slits? Bring them higher. The side of your tank top? Don’t need it. Knee-length skirt? What if we cut out giant circles? Less fabric = more space in your suitcase, after all, so embrace the funky tanlines and go all-in on the peek-a-boo trend.
