Local cocktail expert and author Jennifer Brian has released a gift kit that features her new book “Classic Cocktail Revival.” The book is suitable for anyone who likes cocktails, whether they’ve dabbled in making drinks before or are looking for a good way to test their cocktail abilities.

Louisville-based artist and illustrator Bri Bowers created this playing card deck as a love letter to Taylor Swift’s storytelling.

The deck includes 54 original illustrations, and the Swiftie in your life will find dozens of references to musical artist’s diverse collection of albums as well as plenty of Taylor Swift lore.

Bowers is widely known in Louisville for her watercolor series depicting Louisville landmarks and restaurants. The cards and Bower’s other works are available for purchase at her online store, at various boutiques around Louisville, or for pick-up by appointment at her studio on South Shelby Street.

This handmade “Mother’s Vase” was created by locally owned Zimmerman’s Art Glass in Corydon, Indiana, which is the second oldest family-run studio glass factory in the United States. 

The vase is designed for small flowers, specifically, the tiny blooms children pick for their mothers from the yard in the spring.

The Mercantile New Albany is curated market that sells new, artisan, vintage and antique goods. The shop also offers a variety of other pieces from Zimmerman’s, starting at $12.
