RESIDENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT A POTENTIAL SALE HERE. THE MIRACLE MILE SHOPPING CENTER IS PACKED EVERY DAY, SO PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN MONROEVILLE ARE SHOCKED THAT THE PLAZA IS UP FOR SALE. WE ACTUALLY MOVED TO MONROEVILLE BECAUSE IT HAD A LOT OF SHOPPING AND EVERYTHING JUST KEEPS GETTING CLOSED AND CLOSED. AND SO I’M I DON’T KNOW, IT’S KIND OF SAD. PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN MONROEVILLE HIT BY THE NEWS THAT THE MIRACLE MILE SHOPPING CENTER COULD BE SOLD. SO HOW ARE YOU FEELING NOW KNOWING THAT THIS PLAZA IS UP FOR SALE? I DON’T REALLY UNDERSTAND THE REASON, BECAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT THIS PARKING LOT, IT’S ALMOST ALWAYS FILLED. THIS IS HAPPENING JUST MONTHS AFTER WALMART ANNOUNCED IT BOUGHT THE MONROEVILLE MALL, LEAVING ITS FUTURE UP IN THE AIR. SOME PEOPLE ARE HOPING FOR THE BEST FOR THE MONROEVILLE MALL, EVEN THOUGH THEY AREN’T SURE WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. I BELIEVE THAT WILL BE SUCCESSFUL, BUT WE ALSO TRAVEL UP TO PITTSBURGH MILLS, AND THAT’S A BIG QUESTION OF WHAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN TO THAT IN THE FUTURE. A LOT OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS FOR MIRACLE MILE SHOPPING CENTER ON ROUTE 22 AS WELL. IT HOUSES STORES LIKE OLD NAVY, MARSHALLS, DSW AND ULTA. I REALLY HOPE IT WILL THRIVE BECAUSE WE JUST MOVED HERE A FEW YEARS AGO, AND I’D HATE TO SEE IT GO UNDER AND ALL THE STORES THAT WE LOVE CLOSED. I’VE BEEN SHOPPING AT THIS PLAZA FOR OVER 50 YEARS. I REMEMBER WHEN THE ROAD JUST PAST THE MIRACLE MILE WAS STONES AND DIRT. THIS IS ONE OF THE MORE PROSPEROUS AREAS SIMPLY BECAUSE WE ARE CONNECTED TO THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE. THE PROPERTY IS CURRENTLY OWNED BY M AND J. WILCO AND ALTO. ACCORDING TO A SOCIAL MEDIA POST, CBRE NATIONAL RETAIL PARTNERS IS THE REAL ESTATE AGENCY HANDLING THE SALE WITH AN UNLISTED PRICE. NOW, PEOPLE I TALKED WITH SAY THEY’RE ALSO CONCERNED ABOUT THE PROPERTY TAXES GOING UP IN THIS AREA, COVERING ALLEGHENY COUNT
