Woman shot near Natomas shopping center, police say

A woman was injured in a shooting in Natomas on Tuesday night, the Sacramento Police Department said. Officers responded to West El Camino Avenue near Truxel Road for the report of a shooting just after 9:30 p.m.Sacramento police said officers found a woman with at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown.The area in which the shooting occurred has a number of businesses, including several banks, multiple restaurants and a grocery store. KCRA 3 reporter Carolina Estrada was at the scene and noted that the parking lot of the shopping area was surrounded by police tape. She said a number of people appeared to be waiting outside the crime scene to move their vehicles. Officials have not provided any suspect information. This is a developing story. A woman was injured in a shooting in Natomas on Tuesday night, the Sacramento Police Department said.

Sacramento police said officers found a woman with at least one gunshot wound. She was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown.
